Since the boots are primarily designed for the elderly, most of whom have some kind of limitation, be it mobility, swollen feet, collapsed arches, etc., the boots should be wider. My mother is relatively fit, but had a problem with putting them on - narrow - the zipper bothers...

The shoes are nice, the size corresponds.
I don't like
Slipping on is problematic. Mommy had to make a lot of effort to get into the shoes. They're narrow.
