A protective top mattress, also known as a topper, is a useful accessory for a comfortable sleep. Not only does it protect the mattress from worn spots, stains or abrasions and prolong the life of the mattress, but the sheep wool and silver particles in the lining also help maintain a consistent temperature when sleeping and wick moisture away from the skin. The thin top mattress turns even a sofa into a comfortable bed for guests.

The topper is beautifully soft, so if you have a mattress that is too hard, it will help you get a better night's rest. Wool and silver add antibacterial properties to an ordinary mattress, which is especially appreciated by sensitive or sick people suffering from allergies or skin problems. Also, if you sweat at night, the topper will help you sleep dry and comfortable. The topper material prevents the growth of bacteria, mould and mites.
The protective mattress is reversible for year-round use. In winter, you can sleep on the side with sheep's wool, which keeps you warm all night long. In summer, you'll sleep great on the smooth microfiber side. The corners of the topper have elastics for easy attachment to the mattress. The topper thickness is approximately 3 cm.
Material:
cover: Merino wool, microfibre
filling: hollow fibre
Blankets, duvets, pillows and other bedding made of sheep's wool should be shaken regularly and aired out in the fresh air. That way the material retains its fluffiness and softness, the wool wicks away excess moisture and mite breeding is reduced. Airing out also makes the natural smell of wool disappear faster.
If wool bedding needs to be cleaned with water, it is important to follow the symbols on the product label. If you are not sure whether machine washing is suitable, we recommend to wash everything by hand. If the instructions on the label allow, you can use the wool washing program on your washing machine.
Always remember to use a detergent suitable for wool, whether you are washing in the machine or by hand.
