Product description

The softest shearling Merino wool wrapped in velvety smooth cotton. These are the pillows in our premium range natural wool bedding. Discover the marvellous comfort of Merino wool, which has a number of amazing properties.

In addition to being antibacterial and hypoallergenic, which makes it the perfect material for bedding, it is also great at temperature control. This means that in winter, it keeps us lovely and warm but not too hot, while on summer nights, it cools us down, bringing relief from oppressive heat. And those of you who tend to sweat at night will appreciate that Merino wool is able to absorb excess moisture and wick it away from the body to the surface where it evaporates. Thanks to all these benefits, you will enjoy a dry and comfortable sleep, waking up every morning well rested and in a good mood.

Merino wool generates dry heat, which is good for our health. It relaxes muscles and warms up joints, bringing a welcome relief from pain. Therefore, we recommend wool bedding for all who suffer from chronic pain, as well as those who wish to prevent these problems. Whether you suffer from arthritis, injury, or any other medical condition, Merino wool allows you to relax in maximum comfort.

The cover of this premium pillow is made of pure cotton in a beautiful cream colour. The zip around the pillow allows you to remove part of the filling, should you wish to adjust the thickness. In addition, you can remove the cover completely and wash it, either by hand or in the washing machine. We also recommend you air your bedding regularly.

How to care for the product

Items made of sheep’s wool are very easy to care for. Thanks to its natural lanolin content, wool can clean itself. You can help this process by giving your woolly items a good shake and airing them outside regularly. This way, the material retains its fluffiness and softness, while excess moisture is removed, which prevents dust mites from breeding. In addition, the natural smell of wool dissipates more quickly with regular airing. 

When cleaning wool, use only products specifically designed for wool care, such as the Lanolin laundry detergent. To spot clean, use a soft damp cloth and a mix of Lanolin and water in a spray bottle. You can also wash the product by hand in lukewarm water at a constant temperature of up to 25°C. Add a bit of the Lanolin detergent to the water, it will not only clean the wool but also treat it. 

After washing, do not wring the item, just squeeze gently and leave to dry, preferably spreading it out on a flat surface. Never dry wool on a radiator, and avoid direct sunlight. Likewise, never use a tumble dryer. 

It is not recommended to wash items made of sheep's wool in a washing machine. This way, you can ruin the item. Heavily soiled wool items can be taken to a professional dry cleaner. In such establishments, wool items may only be dry cleaned, without the use of water.
