Product description

This handmade crochet Vlnka the Sheep toy is made in the Czech Republic of 100 % cotton and filled with hypoallergenic hollowfibre that doesn’t harbour dust or dust mites. It is easy to look after it, the sheep is machine washable on a wool setting at 30°C.

The Story of Vlnka the Sheep

Once upon a time, in our picturesque Wallachian region, there lived a shepherd who had a large farm with lots of fluffy sheep. There were perhaps a dozen sheep in the flock and they all looked exactly the same. Every day, they went to pasture on a huge meadow full of luscious green grass. While nibbling on the tasty leaves, they liked to chat, admiring each other’s beautifully white and warm woolly fleece.

Once a year, when their fleeces were ready, the shepherd herded all the sheep into his barn to shear them. All the sheep were very similar, both in appearance and in nature. As soon as their fleeces were shorn, they would come out of the barn, one after the other, proudly looking back at the pile of wool they had left behind. One day, a new sheep joined the flock, a young lamb named Vlnka...
